Employment Support Program (ACCESS)
ACCESS is a community-based employment program for Deaf and hard of hearing individuals. The range of services offered by ACCESS includes supported employment, case management, service coordination, community outreach and support, independent living skills instruction and vocational assessment. Other employment-related services may be provided upon request. ACCESS is located in Brattleboro, but service in other areas of Southern Vermont can be arranged. The provision of services is available through fee-of-service or contractual arrangements with HCRS. (Health Care and Rehabilitation Services)
The ACCESS Program was full of action this summer. Mountain climbing, swimming, blueberry picking and gardening were some key activities. This along with day to day matters kept ACCESS in consistent motion. The fall season brings change and progress as we maintain our quality of service. We will partake in apple picking as it was hit last year. Members pick fresh fruit and make their favorite apple recipes.
ACCESS continues to support clients with independent living skills and is always striving towards bettering our service. We look forward to another successful year full of new adventures! You can find out more about ACCESS and the services we provide by contacting: pharris@vcdhh.org
