Vermont Interpreter Referral Services (VIRS)

The Vermont Interpreter Referral Service (VIRS) provides statewide interpreter and Computer Assisted Realtime Translation (CART) referral services for American Sign Language (ASL)/spoken English/oral interpreting assignments in settings such as medical, legal, mental health, employment, educational, civil and recreational situations.

We also provide advocacy for consumers and information about the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to requesters who do not understand their responsibility for being accessibility.

VIRS will hold its 9th Annual Fundraiser for the Yolande Henry Community Fund on Saturday May 3, 2014 from 3-6pm in the gym at the Austine School for the Deaf. The performer this year will be Warren "WaWa" Snipes.
WaWa Snipes is from Virginia and performs all over the United States and abroad- and comes with high praise from all those who have seen his "Dip-Hop" show.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 5-12 and free for children under 5.
Raffle tickets will be sold for cash prizes; desserts and water will also be on sale.
